Treatment of Trauma in Young Adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder using EMDR Therapy

Research Study

Researchers at The Johnson Center are seeking adults 18 and older with autism to participate in a study.
The purpose of the study is to evaluate whether EMDR therapy is effective in treating symptoms of traumatic or adverse experiences in adults with autism.

What is required?
* Eight weekly 1-hour EMDR sessions at The Johnson Center office
* Completion of online pre- and post-test assessment questionnaires

Who is eligible to participate?
Adults 18 and older with Level 1 (mild/high functioning) autism who have experienced trauma or adverse life events and can independently meet the study requirements
