The Relationship Among Quality of Life, Informal Social Support, Affiliate Stigma, and Caregiver Burden of Minority Caregivers of Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder

Research Study

Based on current literature, no studies have assessed the associated and correlative relationships between affiliate stigma, social support, caregiver burden, and quality of life among minority caregivers of children with autism spectrum disorder in the U.S. The purpose of this study is to investigate and address this gap.

The researchers are currently recruiting participants who are (1) 18 years of age or older, (2) are parents (biological or adoptive) or caregivers to children with ASD who are 18 or younger, and (3) associate themselves as members of a minority group. For the study, participants will be asked to complete a 25-minute online survey, and those who complete the survey will be entered to win one of two $50 Amazon gift cards.
