The Intersection of Disability, Self-Concept, and Childhood

Research Study

I am currently looking for children to participate in a research project looking at the childhood experiences of being identified with an invisible disability. Participating children should have an invisible disability (defined as a disability that one cannot see on the surface, allowing the child to pass as typically developing) and be between grades 3 and 6. Participating children should know they have a disability, including knowing the name of their disability. All participants will be interviewed as well as asked to complete a drawing and a story. Children will be compensated for their time with a gift card. For further information, please email me at, or visit to fill out an interest form. Please also consider sharing this information with individuals you believe would be interested.
