Supporting Adults with Autism in Communicating with Medical Providers

Research Study

FAU is conducting research to evaluate the use of an Instructional Package to support adults with autism in communicating with medical professionals, and we need your help!

We are looking for adults with autism spectrum disorder who are 40 years of age or older to participate. If you have previously experienced challenges in finding or communicating with a primary care physician (PCP), or simply want to learn how to communicate with medical professionals more effectively, we would love to have you join us.

All interactions will be virtual using the platform Zoom. We anticipate meeting with you 2 - 3 days per week, for approximately 15 minutes each day. The study should not run longer than 12 weeks. As compensation for your time and participation, you will receive one $25 Amazon gift card.

If you meet these criteria and are interested in learning more about this research, please reach out to Graduate Student Researcher Jacqueline Wood by email or by phone at (561) 221-7298.

Participation in this study is completely optional and confidential. This study is being conducted through the FAU College of Education.
