Research Study

Organization: Adelphi University

Contact: Victoria Grinman (646) 522-0628

If you are a parent of a child who is currently between the ages of 18-26, diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, and you feel you have found benefits or growth through your parenting experience, please consider taking part in a study to help enhance the understanding of your experience. Greater understanding of your experience might help to develop supports and programs to assist parents as they navigate all kinds of experiences, such as adjusting to the diagnosis and raising their children.

I am a social worker who is conducting this research as a requirement for a Doctorate in Social Work at Adelphi University. The University Institutional Review Board (IRB) has approved this study. If you take part in this study, I will meet with you at a time and place convenient to you. Participation involves one interview of 60-90 minutes, and a review of the transcribed interview, once it is completed. All information will be kept confidential.

You are eligible to participate in this study if you:
Have a child who was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Pervasive Developmental Disorder-NOS, Asperger’s Syndrome.
Your child is 18-26 years old.

If you’d like to participate in this study or would like more information, please email me at or call Victoria Grinman at (646) 522-0628.
