Participant in Transition Planning Among Young Adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder

Research Study
Researchers from the Department of Psychology at Illinois Institute of Technology are conducting an online research study designed to learn more about your thoughts and experiences with your transition planning/IEP meetings during high school. This study will involve one virtual interview with the researcher that will take about 30 minutes of your time.

The study aims to:
• Provide insight into transition related factors from the perspective of indiviudals with ASD directly.
• Explore the relation among parental autonomy support, self-determination, and participation in transition planning among individuals with ASD.

Individuals who participate in this study will receive a $35.00 Amazon or Visa gift card for their time!

To participate in this study, you must be:

• Between the ages of 18-25 years old
• Had an IEP with Autism Spectrum Disorder (including Asperger’s) listed as a diagnosis in high school
• Previously had a transition plan in high school
• Not currently experiencing any psychosis or psychotic symptoms
• Proficient in reading and understanding the English language
• Able to provide consent
