Conversations are important because they help people get to know each other better, talk about interests, and work things out. Our research explores ways technology could be used by autistic adults to help make conversation go smoother and feel more comfortable.
Researchers at the University of Washington are recruiting autistic adults (aged 18 – 32 years old) for in-home design activities that explore ways conversations could be supported by game-like elements like player pieces and a board game. (You do not need to be a game designer or create a full working game.) The game design activities are meant to be fun, creative, and a way to express ideas!
We will provide design materials, instructions, and a design journal to fill out. Participants will receive a $75 Amazon gift card.
