This study will explore how a mindfulness-based program can influence occupational performance and satisfaction for parents of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). This research will use mindfulness-based intervention to potentially assist participants to better cope with stress in their lives. This can potentially have a positive impact on many factors in parents of children with ASD, including increased psychological well-being, reduced health risk behaviors, and increased participation in occupational roles and activities. Potential results may further indicate themes for future mindfulness-based programs to be better tailored to the specific needs of parents of children with ASD, as well as indicating possible differences in effectiveness between in-person and online-based programs.
