We recognize the COVID-19 pandemic has created a rapidly changing environment and uncertain future over the last several days, which has been difficult and stressful for everyone, especially adults on the spectrum, parents with children with Asperger/autism profiles, and the professionals who serve this community.

I wanted to take a moment to speak directly to our community to reassure those in need of our services that we are still here for you. Whether you are a family dealing with an unexpected school closure and having children and teens at home for extended periods of time, an adult who may be experiencing increased anxiety and isolation, or a professional facing the challenge of helping clients during this trying situation, our staff is here to help.

Go to our website at aane.org and click on “Contact Us” at the top of the page. There you will be able to schedule a free call or fill out the form for our staff to contact you.

For those who participate in our in-person support groups, activities, and events, we are making changes whenever possible to convert to an online format. Please check our website regularly for updates or email us at events@aane.org if you are uncertain about a particular activity or event.

As we all learn to cope with this unprecedented situation, please stay safe, get up-to-date information from official sources like the CDC, and reach out to trusted family and friends or AANE if you need help. Thank you.
