July 2019: AANE Newsletter
Rest & Renew
The summer months can often provide a much-needed break from routine and a chance to replenish energy.
AANE has many ways
adults,
family members, and
professionals can rejuvenate over the summer with fun events to connect with others in the community and exciting chances to learn.
Those living in the New England area have a chance to come together at the
Family Picnic
or
AANE Dog Playtime, and adults on the spectrum can meet up with peers at the annual
AANE BBQ. Educators and parents can take time this summer to learn about assistive technology at
AANE’s Summer Conference in Rhode Island. AANE also offers webinars and online opportunities to provide assistance and support anywhere in the world.

Summer Plans to Combat Anxiety
For some, the warm summer months mean a slower pace and a chance to rest. This period of less stress is the perfect time to reflect on past challenges and consider new strategies to reduce anxiety in the future. Executive Director Dania Jekel gives some advice on how to use this time wisely.
