Researchers at The Ohio State University want to learn more about your perspectives on or experiences with participating in early intervention or therapy services for autistic children.
We will be holding online focus groups to find out more about this topic. During these focus groups, we will ask questions about how you might make decisions about participating in an early intervention, and about possible positive and negative effects of participating in early interventions. We will ask all these questions in a small-group discussion format. These discussions will be led by a member of the research team on Zoom video conference. Meetings will be videotaped. These focus groups will involve a variety of people to get multiple perspectives—including autistic adults, parents, and service providers.
We are reaching out to you because we think you may have useful perspectives to contribute during one of these focus groups.
To participate in the focus group, you need to be:
-Age 18 or over
-Identify with one or more of the following groups:
Autistic person
Parent of a young autistic child (under age 7 years)
Clinician or service provider for young autistic children (under age 7 years)
-Be able to participate in an online focus group via Zoom
The group will last about 1.5 to 2 hours. If you choose to participate in the focus group, you will receive a $20 gift card as a thank-you for your participation.
