WHAT: Due to popular demand, AANE is offering a DnD Interest Series for adults who are DND novices or who have never played DnD before. This interest series involves an eight-meeting campaign that starts on January 29, 2020.  Registration, payment, and a phone intake are required in advance to participate. (Financial assistance is available. Contact stephanie.birkdale@aane.org.)

To complete your registration, you will need to schedule a 15-minute phone intake with Dungeon Master, Nick Gallop. Instructions for setting up the call (with a one-click, online scheduling system) will be in the confirmation email that is sent to you once you submit your application and payment.

Things to know:

  • For the best experience, participants should attend all 8 meetings in the interest series in order to help his/her team advance as far as possible in the campaign.
  • If you think that you will have trouble participating for the entire 120 minute meeting, let the Dungeon Masters know at  the first meeting and they may pair you with another player, so that you can both share a character. By doing this you can take a break if you need to.
  • This interest series will be using a campaign selected by the Dungeon Masters.

The Dungeon Masters:

The AANE DnD Interest Series will be led by two seasoned Dungeon Masters, Nick Gallop and Nick Haslam.

Nick Gallop has been working at AANE for 3  years, and more importantly, playing DnD for 8. As one of the Dungeon Masters, he hopes to facilitate a fun and fair time for everyone! As a player character, his usual build is a two-handed, weapon-wielding barbarian.

Nick Haslam has been working at AANE for 6 years. He was first introduced to DnD over 20 years ago, but has been campaigning for the last 5. He’s looking forward to running a great campaign as the other Dungeon Master! As a player, he favors gish characters.

Registration closes on and on January 24 and only 10 slots are available.

Note: AANE Adult Services programs are intended for post-high school adults only.
