Watertown, MA – Support Group Series for Women
February 13 @ 2:30 pm - 4:30 pm, $80
Wednesday Afternoons – Support Group Series for Women
This adult support group series is designed for women who are on the autism spectrum. Through this support group series, women can build an ongoing connection with a small community of other women. AANE adult support group series also give adults an opportunity to voice their concerns and frustrations. It also lets them acknowledge hard-won and unexpected victories.
Moderator: The group will be moderated by Cornelia Elwood. Cornelia Pelzer Elwood is the mother of two sons, one of whom has an autism spectrum disorder (ASD). She is the co-author of Take Charge of Treatment for Your Child with Asperger’s (ASD) and leads a corresponding training for parents of children with autism spectrum disorders. She received her BA from Vanderbilt University, trained as a life coach, earned a Certificate in Autism Spectrum Disorders from Antioch University New England, and is currently a candidate for Master of Art in Mental Health Counseling with a concentration in Couples and Marriage Therapy at William James College.
All meetings will be held at the AANE Office in Watertown, MA. We will meet for 8 meetings on Wednesdays from 2:30-4:00 p.m (with the following exceptions*).
Common topics of discussion are:
- Independent Living
- Daily Living Skills
