DESCRIPTION: Transitioning to independent living presents challenges for many. With the right preparation and support, individuals with Asperger profiles can succeed in living alone. This training covers the domains of independent living, the importance of preparing clients for independent living, how to determine appropriate independent living goals, and how to teach independent living skills to your clients with ASD.
Bio: Nicole earned her Doctorate in occupational therapy from Western New England University. As part of her doctoral research, she developed an intercultural learning program to enhance cultural competency among healthcare professionals via a telehealth model. She has a professional background in applied behavioral analysis, recreational therapy, and project management.
Registration will be opened between 2/1/2021 – 2/25/2021
