*New Start Date* Support Group for Parents of Newly Diagnosed Children

Registration is now open for the new AANE’s Parents of Newly Diagnosed Children support group. This group is designed for parents and other adult family members of children up to age 14 who have recently been diagnosed with Aspergers/Autism or other similar profiles.
This small group setting limited to 14 participants allows parents to connect with each other and delivers a wealth of information.
This group will be run by Cornelia Elwood. Cornelia Elwood is the mother of two sons, one of whom has an autism spectrum disorder (ASD) diagnosis. She is the co-author of Take Charge of Treatment for Your Child with Asperger’s (ASD) and leads a corresponding training for parents of children with autism spectrum disorders. She received her BA from Vanderbilt University, trained as a life coach, earned a certificate in Autism Spectrum Disorders from Antioch University New England, and is currently a candidate for Master of Art in Mental Health Counseling with a concentration in Couples and Marriage Therapy at William James College.
