DESCRIPTION: Coaching provides practical, one-on-one assistance to overcome obstacles and help achieve personal goals. Virtual Online Coaching provides this assistance with the ease and convenience of internet-based video conferencing. In this workshop, we will consider the benefits and challenges, optimal setup, and strategies and tools when conducting virtual sessions with neurodivergent clients. The workshop will also provide an overview of AANE resources to share with clients and their families.
HOST: Jennifer Green, MSW, is the LifeMAP Senior Clinician, who has worked as a LifeMAP coach and staff clinician for seven years. She received her MSW from Boston College and lives in greater Boston. Jennifer welcomes new clients to LifeMAP by conducting informational phone calls and intake interviews, consulting with the clinical team, and assigning the client to the most appropriate coach. When clients end their time in coaching she oversees the feedback process. Her coaching with LifeMAP clients often focuses on developing a network of support that advances the skills of communicating with one’s “team” leading to a sense of empowerment and the ability to problem-solve and achieve goals.
