
DESCRIPTION: In this workshop, we will address how to understand the barriers our clients may experience in the areas of hygiene and dressing. We will look at “deep listening” to learn what the challenges are for clients and look at practical ways to address them.
HOST: Dawn Stahlberg, LifeMAP Clinical Support and Supervisor, has 38 years of experience in Special Education. She has been providing services to individuals and families in a range of capacities, including providing consultation and training to schools, support to families, and direct services to autistic individuals. She has a private practice in Boise, Idaho and has worked with a multidisciplinary team at Easter Seals in Arkansas, where she provided professional development and consultation throughout the state. Additionally, she led a parent support group for 10 years and developed and ran a social skills camp for kids and teens for 6 years.
