DESCRIPTION: Program managers of the AANE’s new mentoring initiative called “Simpatico” (currently being developed) are seeking valuable feedback from autistic adults as we continue to evolve this program which will match autistic mentees to autistic mentors. Program leaders will be hosting a virtual listening session on Sunday, June 12th from 11:00am-12:00pm/ET at which time we hope to learn more about the autistic adult perspective on how this new program can address the wants and needs within the autistic community. REGISTRATION: Advanced registration is required.  After you have registered, a confirmation email is sent with a link to attend the program. Registrants who do not receive the confirmation email should check their email spam folder. Registration closes 24 hours prior to the event. Early registration is highly recommended as many programs fill quickly.

AUDIENCE: This workshop is intended for adults on the spectrum, parents, other family members, and partners of individuals on the spectrum, as well as professionals who support individuals on the spectrum.

EVENT & GROUP INFORMATION: Most of AANE programming is currently online. The following terms are used for different audience specifications:

• “LOCAL [City, State]” in front of the event/group name is intended for those living in the vicinity of the indicated area. If LOCAL is not indicated, the event is available to those living anywhere.
• “Open” events/groups may have different participants joining from session to session and “Closed” events/groups have the same participants for a set number of sessions.

CODES OF CONDUCT: Participants at AANE events are expected to act respectfully toward other participants and group facilitators. AANE reserves the right to deny admission to and/or ask individual participants to leave an event. For more information see FAQS.
