Online “Open” End of Summer Recipes to Share – A Cooking Workshop for Adults, 9/21/22, 4:00 PM – 6:30 PM ET

September 21 @ 4:00 pm - 6:30 pm, $25

DESCRIPTION: Enjoy the end of summer by learning to prepare a menu of easy to follow recipes, appropriate to bring to a picnic or backyard BBQ, or just savor at home. Popular facilitator Kate Libby will demonstrate how to make a (non alcoholic) beverage, small bite appetizer, entrée, and dessert.

No special equipment is required to participate, Kate will demonstrate and walk you through her recipes step-by step.   Questions and discussion are welcome, After the workshop, Kate will share all of the recipes via email, and will be available for additional questions.

COST: $25 per person

CAPACITY: 20 participants

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE:  For programs and events that require a fee, financial assistance is available and no one will be turned away for lack of funds. To inquire about financial aid for a program or event, contact events@aane.org.  If you are able, please consider donating the cost of registration so that someone in financial need can attend.

REGISTRATION: Advanced registration is required.  After you have registered, a confirmation email is sent with a link to attend the program. Registrants who do not receive the confirmation email should check their email spam folder. Registration closes 24 hours prior to the event. Early registration is highly recommended as many programs fill quickly


AUDIENCE: AANE Adult Support Groups, Social Groups, and events are intended for post-high school adults on the spectrum who are able to self-regulate AND independently participate in activities without the assistance of a dedicated caretaker.

EVENT & GROUP INFORMATION: All AANE programming is currently online. The following terms are used for different audience specifications:

  • “Open” events/groups may have different participants joining from session to session and “Closed” events/groups have the same participants for a set number of sessions.

CODES OF CONDUCT: Participants at AANE events are expected to act respectfully toward other participants and group facilitators. AANE reserves the right to deny admission to and/or ask individual participants to leave an event. For more information see FAQS.
