DESCRIPTION: We are very excited to offer this workshop as a part of a 6 session series focused on Employment for Autistic adults, led by Sam Warner. These are discrete workshops so you are welcome to attend one or more but you will need to sign up for each individually. These workshops are for Autistic adults. They are best suited for someone who is currently working or considering working in an office environment but that is not a requirement to attend. Please note: each workshop will be recorded and made available on our Vimeo page after the event. The workshops are designed to be interactive and you are welcome to leave your camera off and/or just use the chat for confidentiality and other purposes.
This session will discuss agreed communication channels and etiquette in the workplace. You’ll receive tips on handling unreasonable expectations, and setting boundaries. Sam will help you by giving you guidance on how to manage micro-managing, and “”managing up”” (when you have insecure managers). This session gives you tools to help you to be assertive but not blunt, and assured but not cocky.

REGISTRATION: Advanced registration is required. After you have registered, a confirmation email is sent with a link to attend the program. Registrants who do not receive the confirmation email should check their email spam folder. Registration closes the Friday prior to the event. Early registration is highly recommended as many programs fill quickly.

- “Open” events/groups may have different participants joining from session to session and “Closed” events/groups have the same participants for a set number of sessions.
