FILLED – Online “Open” Community Connections Session for Recently Diagnosed Adults, 9/14/20, 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM EDT
September 14 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Free
If you are an adult who has been newly diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder or if you don’t have a formal diagnosis but think you might be on the spectrum, join Michele Cantara and Christa Flanagan from AANE’s Adult Services team and 10-20 other adults who are facing similar situations. Share your reasons for pursuing (or not pursuing a diagnosis). Talk about how your diagnosis or the prospect of being on the spectrum makes you feel, identify possible next steps on your personal Asperger journey, and learn about longer time support group options at AANE.
Although sessions are free, registration is required so we can send you the link to join the Zoom meeting. Note that these sessions are extremely popular.
We will use Zoom to host the interest series meetings. You will need:
• a computer or tablet. (You can use a mobile phone, but it won’t be quite as good.)
• an Internet connection
• a webcam so you can see and interact with other players.
You aren’t required to install anything on your computer or tablet in order to use Zoom, but some people do find it helpful to download the Zoom client. https://zoom.us/download
If you have never used Zoom, before you attend the interest series, we strongly suggest that you visit: https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us
Registration has reached capacity. This event is full.
