FILLED – Online “Open” Community Connection Session for Parents of Adults (23+), 1/6/21, 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM ET
01/06/2021 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Free
DESCRIPTION: This Community Connection Session is for parents of adults (ages 23+) with an Asperger/autism profile. Adult family members or close friends of adults (over the age of 23) may also attend. The session is a free, simple, casual way for you to talk with other parents of adults on the spectrum, to reassure yourself that you are not alone no matter how socially distant you feel! Each session is facilitated by members of the AANE Adult Services Staff who are parents of adults on the spectrum. They know how important it is to strike a balance between nurturing themselves and helping their adult child cope with the disruptions of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Community Connections are a great way to reduce your isolation, but these sessions are not a substitute for Closed Support Groups for Parents of Adults or Open Support Groups for Parents of Adults. If you are looking for longer-term support investigate these support group options.
