Online “Open” AANE Virtual Book Club for Adults, 10/13/20, 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM EDT

DESCRIPTION: This book club started through a partnership between the Asperger/Autism Network and the Nashua Public Library (Nashua, NH). Due to the coronavirus pandemic, this book club now meets online and is open to any post-high school adult with an Asperger/autism or related profile. The group meets every month to discuss a specific book (fiction or nonfiction). Post-high school adults on the spectrum are welcome to attend the meetings, whether or not they have finished the book selected for the meeting.
Books for the currently planned meetings are:
- October 13: The Family Upstairs by Lisa Jewell
- November 10: Orphan Train by Christina Baker Kline
- December 8: Water for Elephants by Sara Gruen

REGISTRATION: is required to receive the meeting link in a confirmation email. If you do not receive the confirmation email, please check your spam folder. Registration closes 24 hours prior to the meeting date. Early registration is highly recommended due to limited capacity.

EVENT & GROUP INFORMATION: All programming has moved online for the foreseeable future. Meetings in physical locations have been suspended due to the current health crisis.
Groups and activities marked:
- “Open” have new people joining from session to session. “Closed” have the same members for a set number of sessions.
CODES OF CONDUCT: This book club is intended for post-high school adults on the spectrum who are able to independently participate in group discussions without the assistance of a caretaker. Participants at AANE events are expected to act respectfully toward other participants and group facilitators. AANE reserves the right to deny admission to and/or ask individual participants to leave an event. For more information see FAQS.
