DESCRIPTION: This open group meets on the first Saturday of each month and is for post-high school adults who are on the autism spectrum or who suspect that they are and live within commuting distance of Portland, ME.

REGISTRATION: Email or call Wilma Wake (207) 985-8776, wilma.wake@aane.org, to register so that she can send you the Zoom link for the meeting. First-time group members should contact one of the facilitators in advance and should plan to attend a new member orientation meeting at 12:15 PM
AUDIENCE: AANE Adult Support Groups, Social Groups, and events are intended for post-high school adults on the spectrum who are able to self-regulate AND independently participate in activities without the assistance of a dedicated caretaker.
EVENT & GROUP INFORMATION: Most of AANE programming is currently online. The following terms are used for different audience specifications:
- “LOCAL [City, State]” in front of the event/group name is intended for those living in the vicinity of the indicated area. If LOCAL is not indicated, the event is available to those living anywhere.
- “Open” events/groups may have different participants joining from session to session and “Closed” events/groups have the same participants for a set number of sessions.
CODES OF CONDUCT: Participants at AANE events are expected to act respectfully toward other participants and group facilitators. AANE reserves the right to deny admission to and/or ask individual participants to leave an event. For more information see FAQS.
