DESCRIPTION: This group is for post-high school adults with an Asperger/autism spectrum profile living within commuting distance of Florence, Massachusetts. Adult support groups are designed to create a community of support where participants can share similar issues and concerns, and celebrate successes.  Groups are designed for adults on the spectrum.  Parents and other adult family members should not attend the groups.

AUDIENCE: AANE Adult Support Groups, Social Groups, and events are intended for post-high school adults on the spectrum who are able to self-regulate AND independently participate in activities without the assistance of a dedicated caretaker.

EVENT & GROUP INFORMATION: All AANE programming is currently online. The following terms are used for different audience specifications:

•  LOCAL [City, State] in front of the event/group name is intended for those living in the vicinity of the indicated area. If LOCAL is not indicated, the event is available to those living anywhere.
• “Open” events/groups may have different participants joining from session to session and “Closed” events/groups have the same participants for a set number of sessions.

CODES OF CONDUCT: Participants at AANE events are expected to act respectfully toward other participants and group facilitators. AANE reserves the right to deny admission to and/or ask individual participants to leave an event. For more information see FAQS.
