FILLED – Online “Closed” Improv Fundamentals Workshop for New and Returning Participants, 7/12/21 – 8/30/21, 7:00 PM – 8:10 PM ET

DESCRIPTION: Are you an aspiring actor or comedian? Or do you just love performing live “in the moment?” Or are you someone who wants to improve their interaction skills while having a hilariously good time? This 8-session online workshop series is designed to introduce fundamentals to improv first-timers as well as help deepen the skills of those who have participated in previous Improv workshops. This includes how to listen effectively and work off of other actors to develop ideas and scenes on the spot. Over the course of eight, 70-minute sessions, 6-12 adults with Asperger profiles will explore the concept of “Yes, and,” basic improvisation techniques, and exercises with the goal of having fun while learning.
WHO: This workshop is for Improv first-timers and those who have participated in previous Improv workshops.

WHERE: Online via Zoom
FACILITATORS: The lead facilitator for this workshop is Chet Harding, a co-founder of Improv Asylum, an internationally acclaimed comedy theater for over 20 years. Chet is an active actor, writer, producer, and director. He also teaches teams and individuals improvisation and acting and leads corporate training sessions. Bob Waters, a member of the AANE community with experience in theater, music, and improv is the assistant facilitator.
COST: The list price is $160 per person for all 8 sessions
CAPACITY: 12 participants
REGISTRATION: Advanced registration is required. After you have registered, a confirmation email is sent with a link to attend the program. Registrants who do not receive the confirmation email should check their email spam folder. Registration closes 24 hours prior to the event or first session. Early registration is highly recommended as many programs fill quickly.
