WHAT: Individuals who are on the autism spectrum or who have social anxiety often:
are fearful of taking risks and often have only virtual friends with whom they communicate online.
want friends, but don’t know how to start a conversation, make small talk, or are terrified that they will be judged as inadequate or lacking because they have made some “terrible social blunder.”
have difficulty reading the social landscape and respond inappropriately, but are unaware that they are doing so.
Workshop participants will learn new and effective solutions to current social problems by using their own experiences and those of their peers with the help of theSocial Dynamix© method, developed by presenter Carol Feldman-Bass. Social Dynamix uses a unique form of action based techniques including improvisation. Join Carol Feldman-Bass as she discusses and demonstrates these techniques.
Carol Feldman-Bass is an engaging presenter and is recognized as an expert in the use of Psychodrama within the neurodiverse population. She currently performs with the Boston Playback Company, True Story Theater.
