DESCRIPTION: The AANE Outdoor Enthusiasts Club is a group, created to bring together adults in the Greater Boston and Southeastern, MA areas, who share a love of the outdoors. Facilitated by Katie McClean, Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker, the group will organize fun and interesting outdoor activities.

Join the Outdoor Enthusiasts Club if you are an adult on the autism spectrum looking for opportunities to socialize and participate in fun outdoor adventures. For more information, and to sign up, check out the Club on MeetUp

This meeting is an in-person* meeting. We’re heading out on SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 24th, for an afternoon of climbing and ziplining at Treetop Adventures! Here is the link, check it out! https://treetopcanton.com/

We will be meeting at 1:00pm at Treetop Adventures (GPS: 200 New Boston Drive, Canton, MA, 02021). Treetop Adventures is located at the Irish Cultural Centre Greater Boston.

AANE will be covering the cost of the afternoon for all participants.

According to Treetop Adventure’s website, you must sign a waiver before you arrive. Open-toed shoes are not allowed, and you should wear something that will be comfortable in a harness. Gloves are also required: gardening, weight lifting, batting, cycling gloves are all great! NO SKI GLOVES.

We will be given an orientation before we go on the course. The courses use more or less the same difficulty ranking system as most ski places, with yellow circle trails being very easy and only a few feet off the ground, green circle trails being moderate and high enough for ziplines but less than about 10 feet, blue square trails being high up and more difficult, and black diamond (or double black diamond) being extremely challenging.

RE: COVID, AANE’s policy continues to require all attendees be fully vaccinated. Masks will not be required since we will be outside, however, attendees are welcome to wear masks at any time throughout the event. ***Please note that this guidance may change and any updates will be sent to attendees.

Please RSVP by Saturday, September 17th to ensure that we can get tickets! Also, please note that the time of the event is subject to change based on ticket demand. Any changes will be emailed to RSVP’d participants.
