COST: Free to attend (registration required)
DESCRIPTION: This book club started through a partnership between the Asperger/Autism Network and the Nashua Public Library (Nashua NH). Due to the coronavirus pandemic, this book club now meets online and is open to any post-high school adult with an Asperger/autism or related profile.
The group meets every month to discuss a specific book (fiction or nonfiction). Post-high school adults on the spectrum are welcome to attend the meetings, whether or not they have finished the book selected for the meeting. Books for the currently planned meetings are:
- May 12: Kill the Farm Boy: The Tales of Pell (The Tales of Pell Series Book 1) by Kevin Hearne & Delilah S. Dawson
- June 9: Go Ask Alice by Beatrice Sparks
- July 14: Mr. Penumbra’s 24 Hour Book Store by Robin Sloan
CODE OF CONDUCT: This book club is intended for post-high school adults on the spectrum who are able to independently participate in group discussions without the assistance of a caretaker.
Participants at AANE events are expected to act respectfully toward other participants and group facilitators. AANE reserves the right to deny admission to and/or ask individual participants to leave an event. For more information see FAQS.
