Evaluation of a brief, telehealth intervention to support emotional distress of autistic adults during COV

Research Study

This study is to test a new, brief telehealth intervention aimed at helping adults cope during times of stress. The study length is approximately 12 weeks, where participants will complete questionnaires about their social and emotional functioning, create an Emotional Support Plan (ESP), and engage in weekly check-in meetings for 8 weeks with a clinician. In addition, participants may be asked to complete check-ins via a smartphone app up to 4 times a day for 8 weeks. Participants of this research study will be paid up to $160.00, or $280.00 if they are asked to complete daily check-ins.

Participants who are at least 18 years old, have an established diagnosis of ASD, and who have an IOS or Android compatible smartphone will be considered for participation. Participants who are under 18 years old or whose primary language is not English will be excluded.
