She taught at both a junior and a senior high school and then worked as a school counselor in a senior high school. She was a counselor in a private practice and then returned to school to become a psychologist and trained for neuropsychological assessment. She has lived and studied in a variety of cultures.
Before entering her doctoral program, she had a two-year pastoral counseling internship. Before licensure, she had internships at a hospital in Concord, MA, at the Boston Veterans Administration, at an inpatient brain injury site, and North Shore Children’s Hospital.
Dr. Avery’s degree is in Counseling Psychology from the Boston University Department of Education (Ed.D).

Dr. Milot provides neuropsychological evaluations for children, adolescents, and adults with autism spectrum disorder and other developmental disabilities. In addition to her work in neuropsychology at the Lurie Center, Milot was also previously employed at the Aspire program for eight years where she designed and facilitated therapeutic groups and programs for teens and young adults diagnosed with high-cognitive ASD.
Anita Remig, Ed. D., F.P.P.R., F.S.M.I., is a practicing clinical psychologist and consultant specializing in treating ADHD, Addiction, Depression, Mood Disorders and Biofeedback therapy. Dr. Remig is a Licensed Psychologist, Certified School Psychologist and Certified Biofeedback Specialist with 40 years of experience. Much of her work has been in psychotherapy and education: providing individual psychotherapy, leading group therapy for addiction, consulting on ADHD assessment and treatment, assisting the IEP process and performing psychological evaluations.
