Autism Genetics Network: Increasing Representation of Human Diversity is a project looking to better understand the genetic aspects of Autism in underrepresented populations in order to reduce healthcare disparity and to increase diversity in research overall. Specifically, we are looking for individuals who identify as Black or of African American heritage (ages 3+) or have a parent or grandparent that is Black or African American. We believe that this will lead to earlier diagnosis and better treatment options for all populations, especially those who might be underrepresented in research. Participation for this study is typically completed in 1 visit and 2-3 remote interviews and provides each family with $150 compensation. After completion of the study, our experienced clinical team will also provide each family with a summary of their child's clinical-cognitive testing which they can use to seek services.
