The Asperger/Autism Network (AANE) works with individuals, families, and professionals to help people with Asperger profiles build meaningful, connected lives. We do this by providing information, education, community, support, and advocacy, all in an atmosphere of validation and respect.Our Board of Directors is comprised of motivated individuals from all walks of life who share a common passion for furthering AANE’s mission.
We accept nominations for our volunteer Board of Directors on an ongoing basis. Nominees will be elected at our next Annual Meeting in June, to start in July. The Board meets 6 to 8 times a year and additionally as needed. Board members are also expected to become members of an AANE Standing Committee. These committees include Strategic Planning, Finance, Governance, and Development. Board members are elected for a three-year term and can be re-elected for one additional term.
Please use the form below to nominate an individual to the Board. Anyone may submit a nomination; self-nominations are welcome. All nominations will be reviewed by the Governance Committee. If your nomination is selected, you will be contacted by the Committee and presented to the Board of Directors for election.
