This workshop will focus on ways parents can help their teens manage school, home and the community in a way that prepares them for “the real world.” Teens with AS need to not only handle themselves in appropriate ways, but need to have the self-understanding and self-advocacy skills to handle themselves as independently as possible. We will discuss practical strategies for teaching our teens to be safe participants in the community, self-advocates at school or the workplace, and be responsible members of the family.
