Making School Work for Your Child with AS

Description

This workshop will provide practical strategies you can use to assist your child’s school in enhancing his/her unique strengths and in addressing his/her areas of weakness. This is not an advocacy class but instead a class full of practical strategies that can be used TODAY to help your child make the most of his/her school experience. Issues related to organization, studying, writing, anxiety, the need for routine and especially increased social understanding and acceptance will be discussed. As always, there will be a focus on increased self-understanding and self-advocacy to encourage greater independence!
