Volunteer for AANE

We rely on volunteers to help run the organization at all levels. We currently have over 50 long-term volunteers and many more periodic helpers. Our volunteers are adults with AS, parents, family members, friends, and professionals. Volunteering on-site at AANE is particularly rewarding for many people, offering the opportunity to mingle and socialize with other people within the AS community in a supportive, understanding environment. Anyone can be a volunteer. Volunteers write for our journal, edit written material, help with our Gala, and facilitate support groups. AANE will be glad to find you a job that matches your availability, skills and interests.

Current volunteer needs:

  • Help with our Annual Gala
  • Database Entry
  • Help with adult social events in Watertown, Framingham, Canton, Worcester & Danvers.
  • Internet Research
  • Write thank-you letters
  • Help with AANE governance, join a committee
  • Provide informational Interviews for adults with AS looking for employment

We also have internships available for one or two undergraduate or graduate students studying social work, non-profit management, or public policy.
