Language and Communication Research at the University of Connecticut

University of Connecticut researchers are working to understand the building blocks of language and communication in individuals with autism spectrum disorders (ASD). Many individuals with ASD have volunteered to be in our study; now we are looking for just a few more people to participate! If you are at all interested in our work, please let us know!

Jessica Mayo ( or 860-486-0195) will be glad to tell you more about the study! We sincerely appreciate all of our volunteers and offer $40-$80 compensation for your time and participation.

For this study we are looking for people who are:

  • Between the ages of 18-45;
  • Have history of ASD (including high functioning autism, PDD-NOS, or Asperger’s Syndrome);
  • Speak in full sentences and use language as a primary means of communication;
  • Are able to travel to Hartford, CT for participation in study.
