Reading Styles of Mothers with Sons with an Autism Spectrum Disorder

My name is Noreen Donovan and I am a Ph.D. student in Clinical Psychology at Suffolk University. I am looking for mothers with sons on the autism spectrum ages 3-6. I am interested in mothers’ experience with reading picture books with their young children. In addition, I am interested in exploring the use of video training in storytelling. Participation includes two short home visits within one month (1/2 hour each). During the home visits, mothers will read a story (to be provided) with their children and complete a questionnaire. Sessions will be videotaped. Participants will receive a $10.00 gift card to Barnes & Noble Booksellers.
