Research Studies
Auditory Sensitivity Intervention at MIT Media Lab
In this study, we use fun, engaging, games and media experiences to help individuals gradually get used to sounds that they might ordinarily find frightening or painful. We are seeking more study participants to help us evaluate this technology.
Anyone with a diagnosis of Asperger Syndrome or Autism Spectrum Disorder, aged 8-18, may be eligible for this study. Interested participants should be able to pinpoint specific sounds that bother them. Interested participants should also be willing to travel to the MIT Media Lab twice and should be willing to try out our software for 10-15 minutes a night for 10-14 days.
