Honor the teacher who touched your life
Many educators have become special in our lives because they have helped us through difficult times, helped our children to blossom, or have shown our children their first school success. We are forever grateful to them. Numerous families in our Asperger’s community have mentioned how these dedicated educators have touched their lives. Unfortunately, these extraordinary individuals often go unrecognized.
AANE intends to give them the recognition they deserve by giving the A-Plus awards each year.
We invite parents to nominate an educator (teacher, aide, administrator, or specialist) within a school system, up through high school, who has gone the extra mile and made the difference for your child.
Here’s how it works. Fill out our nomination form (July 1, 2012 - June 1, 2013) for an educator from any New England state and send it with $50 to AANE. Your donation enables your nominee to receive the following:
The top nominees will be chosen by a committee to receive the AANE award, to be presented atan AANE conference. All winners and the parents (one parent per family) who nominated them will be our honorary guests at the conference where he/she will be presented with the award.
Thank you for taking the time to honor the work of a dedicated educator and helping him/her stay well informed. If you have any questions, please contact AANE.
