Research: Adaptive Behavior and ASD

This study is part of a larger project to develop a measure of everyday function for children with autism spectrum disorders (ASD).  We are looking for parents to review the instructions, items and rating scales we have developed and to give us feedback about these items. This information will be used to improve the set of items that will be used to develop the new measure.  This new measure will provide a new and better way to measure changes in how children and youth with ASD are managing the tasks and activities of daily life.

If you join this study, you will:

  • Engage in an on-line focus group forum, via a password protected and restricted access discussion group.
  • During a 14 day active discussion period, visit the discussion board at least two times and respond to at least two discussion threads.
  • Log- in at a time and location that is most convenient for you during the 14 day active discussion period!
  • The discussion board will be monitored on a daily basis by research staff, and technical assistance will be available.
  • At the completion of the 14 active discussion period, you will receive a $20 gift certificate.
