Rainy Day Fund for Adults

This is a fund supported by donations. The purpose is to assist adults with AS who are in a crisis situation.

Qualifications for a Grant

Adult with Asperger Syndrome age 18 or over
Must live in a New England state
Low income ($25,000 or less for a family of one), SSI, SSDI. Special circumstances considered
Significant need to cover costs in a crisis situation

Grant Amount: $50-$100

Application Process

To be considered for funds, please complete an application and supply a copy of your most current completed tax return. If you are not required to file a tax return,please supply alternative documentation such as unempolyment income, SSI or transitional assistance.

When all the paperwork is received, it will be reviewed by the AANE Family Grants Administrator.

If funds are available, the Family Grants Administrator will notify approved applicants and the AANE business manager will issue you or another party a check.

If applicant wants to change the use of funds after acceptance, approval by the AANE Family Grants Administrator is necessary. Please call her at 617 393-3824 or email .

If an application is rejected, the applicant will receive notification of the reason for the rejection. In that case, you should feel free to reapply if your circumstance changes.

Proof of service or purchase of goods

After you spend the money, you must send a receipt to AANE. This grant will be audited by a CPA and we must have proper documentation.
