Children who have difficulty socializing often need assistance in developing effective verbal and nonverbal communication skills. The children in our groups learn and practice social skills in a safe, supportive, structured environment, and in authentic situations with peers.

Group for Young Adults Living with Asperger's & Other Disabilities

This group provides positive support to increase social skills, self-advocacy and appropriate assertiveness. In addition, the group focuses on work readiness and skill building. Topics addressed will also include hygiene, healthy relationships, lowering social anxiety, and mindfulness. We will also be incorporating the expressive arts and the outdoors.

Population: High functioning young adults, ages 18-25, who are living with Aspergers, mild Cerebral Palsy, or other disabilities, in addition to possible social anxiety, ADD/ADHD, and/or learning disabilities. This group is not suitable for applicants who have severe impairments.

Enrollment: Limited to 10
Dates: 7/26, 8/2, 8/9, 8/16
Time: 10am-12pm

Fee: Your insurance co-payment, will be payable at start of each session. If you do not have insurance, minimum contribution per weekly session is $20. Or prepayment of all 4 sessions accepted by PayPal, or cash or check.
